Japan 2017: World Breakfast All Day, Tokyo Snake Center, Tokyo Fashion Week Travel First day in Tokyo. Scott is a sleepyhead. World Breakfast All Day spotlighted Israel when we visited, and included a cute infographic about the country. Neither of us chose the Israel breakfast, but I was very excited to get myself a cup of Mate, which came with a plastic bombilla. Tokyo Snake Center is a snake cafe which charges an entrance fee of ¥1000 (inclusive of one drink). We shared our table with a shy snake. For an extra ¥540, I got to pet two snakes of my choosing. Here is Hiss, a female Southern Pine Snake. Photos by: Scott. Jagger, a male Jungle Carpet Python. Photos by: Scott. We attended a guided tour of PREFACE: Image Politics in Fashion and Arts as part of Amazon Fashion Week Tokyo. PREFACE showcased brands and artworks from contemporary Vienna artists. Gon‘s political images printed onto clothing. Dorit Margreiter‘s video installation exploring the stereotypes of race and identity. Mario Kiesenhofer‘s Indoor series explored gay sexuality and its codified signals. Veronika Eberhart‘s video installation, Hit Like a Girl. After party. With curator Andreas Spiegl. We talked so much and I got some book reccs! I liked the automatic door vestibule at Shibuya Mark City. Wearing Zaful dress, Gamiss jacket, Jucy Judy coat, Rawrow bag, Paperplanes shoes.
