Singapore 2014: FIDé Couturista Fashion Party

I was delighted when Clozette extended their invitation for the 2014 FIDé Couturista Fashion Party to me last week! Ai and Ru were my plus ones, and as it was our first event of this sort at this scale, the three of us were vibrating with anticipation at the prospect of awesomeness at the Marina Bay Sands ballroom.

The Couturista Party was hosted by Emily Hwang, Vice President of the Asian Couture Federation. It was a party with her vision of some of the key players in couture fashion, including stellar performances from Australia’s The Three Waiters, who dressed like waiters and swept the stage with their charm and professional voices. I really enjoyed their numbers.
Showcase of all the pretty gowns by different designers at the awards.
Loved the dynamic fashion sketches from Renato Balestra.
Benedict Goh was the emcee! I’d wondered about his future after his stint as the host of The Pyramid Game. Photo by: Ai.
There was a beautiful lounge made for lounging.
Desserts were from TWG, a place famous for their vast assortment of teas, and now that I’ve had the pleasure of trying them, their macarons. I fell in love with their green tea (green) and caramel (black) ones.
The runway showcased an exciting combination of shiny MCM bags and holographic, line-treading wearables. These were some of my favourites.
All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this experience; it was great having spent the night having fun in a different world with Ai and Ru. Once again, my dearest thanks to Clozette for the invite, and to my dear friends for taking the time out of their busy schedule to accompany me even though they had work the next day! An awesome time was had. Here we are against the nighttime skyline of Singapore’s central business district, and our usual shenanigans when the three of us congregate for selfie-times. Photo by: Ru.
