    We bade fond farewells to the yummy city of Osaka the next morning by having a hearty breakfast at Za Meshi-ya (ザ めしや), a 24 hour restaurant specialising in Don. That raw egg in a bowl? You’re supposed to pour it over your rice and mix it in – we didn’t know what to do with it and clarified this with the waiter who mimed it for us while explaining in Japanese. Thank you kind sir!     A Fairytale Festival

    I was part of a fairytale festival for work earlier last month, where various professional storytellers got together and told stories from all over the world to the public for free. One of the storytellers was as young as seven years old! She had the largest following I’d seen, the audience filling up the room until even I couldn’t fit inside. As a fan of their best-selling Mushroom Swiss burger, I was very privileged to have scored a media preview courtesy of Omy earlier this week.
