    Recounting my trip to South Africa in September took a backseat with all the outfit photos et cetera, but I’m going to be continuing them sporadically now that my recent vacation is over. 2015 has seen me traveling quite a bit!     Chasing Flowers on West Coast

    We drove up to chase spring flowers that had bloomed early in the winter at Yzerfontein one day. We could have driven further up north to find more, but there was a braai to be had later in the afternoon. In any case, the beach faces the South Atlantic Ocean, which was pretty cool, especially since the skies were all grey and thick with the promise of rain (looks like my rain-printed tights were on the dot with the weather forecast).     Channeling Bacchus at Fairview Wine & Cheese

    Apart from its scenic landscapes, South Africa is also known for its wines, and so it was that we headed out to Fairview Wine and Cheese for a wine-tasting weekend activity. Fairview was about an hour’s drive away, so I’m not sure just how often it is that locals make the trip up there… but for good, super cheap wine and cheese? Yeah, we could do that (especially since Ant’s bro Matt was driving). Whee! The view offered by this country never failed to impress (as usual). Looking at all these pictures is just making me tired out from all the suppressed anger at how unjustly natural beauty gets distributed…
