Speak Gently
I received this pair of ultra soft rayon pants as a guest gift when I attended an Indian wedding a month back. I don’t think I’ve ever owned ethnic prints like this, so I guess this was a first for me? Toned the loud prints down with some neutrals for a lazy date downtown – I don’t even remember why we’d ventured to this area in our quest to find some comfort food. But hey, we had fun.
There’s a huge trompe-l’œil sticker on the floor of the tube. I’m not sure how long it’ll stay there for, and while it’s pretty entertaining to take pictures at for a while, Ottie and I agreed that the lack of it would have provided a more immersive ‘science!’ feel to this structure.
Here’s my date, being the difficult fashion model as usual:
Do I detect optical illusion fail? Why yes, yes I do. 😂
I’ve come to realise, now that I’ve started focusing on shooting Ottie as a model instead of a stand-in, that I’m pretty sparse with directions. This can at times be frustrating for the both of us; he bears my disdain at the unnecessary expenditure of energy at having to pose every part of his body, while I practice drawing from my internal well of patience with his natural inclination to derp in front of the lens. I suppose that with time, he’ll store a few poses up his sleeve while I become a better photographer and person. We’ll see. :P
