Getty Center, Revisited
Uniqlo bra-top // Zara pants // Merrell Luxe knit clogs // handmade reversible tote by Yingz
I spent a day revisiting the beautiful Getty Center on my own one day. I explored the photographs of Japan’s Modern Divide: The Photographs of Hiroshi Hamaya and Kansuke Yamamoto, as well as the multi-media installations at Overdrive: L.A. Constructs The Future 1940-1990. The Overdrive exhibit was my favourite, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the area for the last ten days that it is exhibiting. The exhibit boasts a precious collection of architecture plans and models and concept drawings that varied from loose, gestural sketches to finely rendered pieces. I was so impressed that I went back there a second time.
My outfit was a simple one, and someone complimented me on my Zara pants when I was on the tram heading towards the center. I do like these pair of pants and their asymmetrical fastening. Also, the waist and cuffs consist of elastic bands, yet are not tacky as with most elastic banded stuff I tend to notice on pants. And I got them at a steal during a sale. My dream sherlock pants! I also unearthed the reversible tote that Yingz had made, so here you have Mr. Fox and co. make their colourful appearance to spice up the muted colours of my clothes.
