Daegu: Streets of Dongseongro
Uniqlo bratop + skirt (from Gumi) + Nordstrom striped tights + H&M platform shoes + T-shirt & Jeans bag
I got this bold printed skirt from a sales rack in Gumi for about â‚©5000 (SGD$5), and thought it was perfect to pair with the striped tights I’d brought along and had yet to wear during my trip. Totally didn’t expect that the outfit would garner so much attention in the city, considering how I pared them down to be comfortably conservative in a country whose language I didn’t speak…
Anyway, Ottie and I headed over to the city of Daegu for the second half of our Chuseok holiday. We mainly hung around Dongseongro, the popular shopping district, exploring streets and alleys to uncover interesting shop facades and watching throngs of people pass us by when we got tired. We’re lazy leisure travelers, the both of us.
Dongseongro was a surprise of Keith Haring brick walls, awesome signage, even more awesome store interiors, and apparently home to this grandma I’d like to become some day:
