This outfit centres around my second piece from Vedette. The Abella from their bodysuit collection is a one-piece skirt bodysuit that comes with a built-in padded bra to accentuate those curves.
I have to admit, this is the best-fitting bra I’ve ever worn in my life. My boobs are on the small side and they tend to rest at a more sideways angle than normal, so the usual kind of bras tend to be ill-fitting to the extent of pain (which is why I switched up my wardrobe to include non-wire bras only). However, I was pleasantly surprised when this provided not just the proper support I’ve been lacking for most of my post-pubescent years, but also a level of comfort that I have never known till then. It was therefore unfortunate that the bodysuit was so difficult to get in and out of – that was a two-person job.
Three if you count gravity.
The dressing and undressing will always be a hilarious memory for me. However, once I got into the shapewear, it proved to be quite the comfortable and cooling piece. There’s even a flap at the crotch so I don’t have to go through the hassle of struggling in and out of the piece throughout the day!
I decided to go the monochromatic route once again, but this time in black, the opposite extreme of my previous Vedette Shapewear feature. Summers in Singapore aren’t exactly kind to layering, but I enjoy the challenge of keeping cool under thin veneers of modesty. Here’s a cardigan I draped over my shoulders to cover all that skin from the sun (and perhaps other things)!
Of course Ottie had to do something about my lack of menace by switching things up with his pageboy cap. It does look pretty good with the rest of the outfit, so I’m not complaining:
