I’ve been cleaning up my wardrobe again, clearing away pieces that don’t get worn often and likely won’t surface as a staple in the future. It’s a slow, and at times painful process when said items hold sentimental value and the only reason why they are in my cupboard are the memories elicited of certain people that passed through my life. Many in my discard pile are full of beautiful, well-worn memories.
But life goes on, and at least I’ll have photos to turn back to. In the meantime, I’ve been curating my wardrobe with a stricter rule of whether any item I add to it will last in the various permutations of my outfits. The striped top I’m wearing here was from a sale at Zara, and it’s so comfortable to wear! The long sleeves and thin material are perfect for layering, and what I love most is the length of it – long enough to wear as a dress, yet short enough to switch up my look by pairing it with various legwear. And by ‘legwear’, I mean the drawers full of tights and socks that I’ve accumulated through the years.
I’m very enthused about the possibilities with this top, yes I am.
I’m wearing these girly pair of socks from the most unlikely secret santa ever. It’s full of lace and frills and reminds me so much of my favourite pair of socks when I was younger… I think I just realised where my socks obsession came from.
