Wickedly Lengthy

My day was never so long as when I met so many faces two days ago. For anyone following my Instagram Stories, these would be a familiar sight:

Instagram Stories punny selfie: good muah-ning.Nothing starts a day better than with a kiss and a bad pun.

San Lau Hor FunNext up was a lunch date with Pa, where he introduced me to this San Lau Hor Fun (三捞河粉) at $6 per plate, with a nice serving of beansprouts. The amusing part came when we ordered our drinks and the drinks lady commented on how much we resembled each other; even though Pa joked that I was his girlfriend from China – because he’s where I get my twisted sense of humour from.

Instagram Stories wefie with my mother.I definitely get my goof from Mum though. We took this picture while waiting our turn to visit Ah Ma, my last living grandparent, at the hospital (Pa wasn’t feeling well then; he visited on another day). Apparently the doctors are telling us to prepare for the worst, and while I’m hoping that things take a turn for the better, the fact remains that Ah Ma is ninety years old… and senescence is a bitch. On the way back, Mum told me to end her own suffering if she ever got to such a state, but I had to tell her that euthanasia is illegal in most places. 😅

Baked goods from DJ Bakery.I traveled down to meet Ottie at work during his break – our schedules have been pretty busy lately, so this was a rare window of opportunity to spend some time together. We bought some noms at a newly-opened DJ Bakery – I loved their rainbow sprinkle donut! So. Many. Sprinkles. However, his break ended prematurely and it ended up being just me and his colleague in the room. Small talk ensued – and it became such that one of the first things he knew about me was that I enjoy reading BL manga. WHY, BRAIN??!

Citrus shots at Manhatten Fish Market.Next I was off to meet some awesome girls for a quick bite… and shots!

Citrus shots at Manhatten Fish Market. Those were shots of some free promotional citrus concoction at Manhatten Fish Market though. Here in clockwise from the left is me, Ruru, Shasha, and Sal! It’s been so long.

Set of Wicked the Musical at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.Ruru scored four free tickets to the latest run of Wicked at the Marina Bay Sands, and I was the only one of us who hadn’t seen a previous run before! I knew the general gist of what it was about (and I mean, at this point who hasn’t?), but the witty lines, delightful acting, and powerful vocals totally blew me away. NGL, I started tearing up from this song on:

Of course, this video features the original cast who’ve since graduated from the 2003 run.

Not forgetting my outfit:

Shein embroidered giraffe shirt, Max red cropped trousers, Sammy Icon Gaudi socks, Kurt Geiger Lovebug sneakers, Firmoo red glasses, Fossil canvas backpack.

Shein embroidered giraffe shirt, Fossil canvas backpack.I’ve always had a thing for giraffes (here’s me as a giraffe), so it was no surprise that I chose this cute shirt for another style collab with Shein!
