Exactly one month ago, my cousin Yingz and her friend Jaz visited from her student exchange at Michigan. Banana Bungalow was explored. Delicious Thai food was had. This day collided with Santi and Mat from Buenos Aires, who were beginning their US road trip. Santi brought my favourite, dulce de leche! And we went to a house party courtesy of Jamie and his musician friends. Drinks were imbibed. Roofs were climbed. 4am breakfast was enjoyed at the oily, oily nomz that is Jack-in-the-Box, and then cruising down Malibu Beach back home to crash.
Smooth as a

I was on Skype video-chatting with Ti and Pa a few days ago, when I excitedly exclaimed that just moments before, I’d put on this green tea facial mask (free sample packet from a shop), and now my face was, as I put it, “as smooth as a baby’s backside.”
To which Ti laughed and promptly made fun of me for using such a disturbing analogy.
Of course, I had to prove him wrong. It is so a known phrase. This was followed by me trying to find out if the butt really is the smoothest part of the body.
And then Pa chimed in, “You know what’s the smoothest part of the body?
“The eyeball.”

That’s good news #1.
Good news #2– I’ve also, finally, after so long, gone and read the Twelve Kingdoms novels on my shelf. I’ve now started re-watching the anime. Both the novels and anime are, in their own way, so good. SO GOOD. This is easily one of my favourite stories. <3
News #3– Something I sang one Friday night in LA. Ahahah, hahah…
