Sledding on the snow dune.Sledding on the snow dune. I went the furthest down the dune btw. :P

Epic bruise on my left knee.I have a history of getting bruises from sources unidentified. Cause by sledding for this epic example was the most probable that I could think of.

Would anyone believe me if I said that part of the reason why I wore those awesome 8-bit glasses was so that I wouldn’t get snow hurtling into my eyes? Also because they add to all those colours going on in my outfit. XD

Fashioned Singdashians

Deb, Jac, and I spent one Saturday in December heading down to the Lookbook + d.RA event in downtown Los Angeles. Since it was fashion-related, we decided to dress up a bit for the event. It was also the first time I wore this floral skirt I’d gotten a while back but never found an appropriate occasion to don, it being way more dressy than my usual fare.

Outfit of the day.

Deb and Jac in the area outside the Lookbook event.

Los Angeles is a haven for street art– one of the first things that I appreciated and marveled for the past two years I’ve been here. We chanced upon this beautiful canvas in the area, and I believe I’ve seen this artist’s murals in a small panel elsewhere.

Awesome, creative murals in downtown Los Angeles.

Here’s a video of the three of us talking on our way to the American Apparel Warehouse downtown, a temporary divergence en route to Fitz’s place for a party. Deb borrowed my camera to record her video log– I don’t even know how much of my soul she has in her phone during the five months I’ve known her. XD I also made two mistakes in the subtitling, and corrected them with annotations!

Burning Man Decom 2012

This year’s Burning Man Decom at the Los Angeles State Historic Park happened shortly after I’d landed back in LA, back in October. It was the second time I attended this event, and I seem to have established a pattern of attempted drowning of lungs by itself the two times I’ve attended. Nevertheless, this time I got to have fun with Deb and Jac… Fab even generously graced us with tickets! Awesome. <3

Forever-moving-Deb, Jac, and me.

Deb on the opposite side of a mind-boggling mirror contraption.

Everyone was loaned 3D glasses before entering this art installation tent, and we soon found out why. The insides were virtually exploding with colour! It was so pretty even without the glasses, but with it, visuals were mind-tripping, especially the ceiling featured on the third photo here.

I was so excited to see a Charlie the Unicorn art car!

We stopped by the Boutique before taking this picture; you can see the result of Deb’s industrious sewing of ears to a beanie. I tied a red satiny scrap of cloth into a bow, and Jaq acquired a blue happi of badassery.

Hula-hooping break!

A group of people eagerly came over to me while brandishing a poker, “Would you like to be branded?” And I was like, “uhhh, is that hot?”  And they assured me it wasn’t, showing me the stamp ink pad they had. After I offered my back and they stamped it, they exclaimed about it working and such… this means I was the first unicorn! XD

They proceeded to brand unicorns on more people.

My mark!

So many animals this year!
