Vedette Shapewear + Giveaway

I was approached by Vedette Shapewear a while back for a style collaboration, in which you, my dear readers, stand a chance to win a surprise shapewear! More details below…

First off, my look. After giving the lovely rep my measurements, I got two beautiful pieces in the mail; both of which, upon inspection of the boxes, are made in Colombia. Being a skinny bean, I’ve never had to think too much about controlling my body shape with shapewear, so I was intrigued on how these would hang on me.

My first look here features the Sarah Corset from their Bustiers– I loved the pretty intricate design on the front panel which tapers oh-so-subtly downwards, accentuating my cinched waist.  It’s a clever design. My only gripe with this piece was how large the cup size was- I was initially unsurprised since normal wired bras have always been oversized for me anyway, but I found it weird when it was later revealed that I didn’t have that problem with my second look. I guess it’s the difference in make. Still, I was impressed by how the sturdy bones of the corset were well-concealed in such smooth, silky cloth, making it such a comfortable wear, especially in Singapore’s hot and humid tropical climate.

I styled it such that I could alter my look depending on how conservative I feel. Buttoning up my lace cardigan conceals the structure of the corset, while hinting at something more. XD

  1. I look for something that gives me a little bit of curves and more of a bust as I’m quite flat chested and thin things just fall on me and I don’t have much of a figure… I look for shapewear which gives me more of an hour glass figure :) IG: samastainton

  2. In corsets I look for support, I am rather large breasted and love corsets. I also liked everything you said and followed where needed Thanks

  3. I like shapewear that helps accentuate the bust as I am also rather flat chested myself. Figure hugging clothes make me look weird so I tend to stay off these although I would love to be able to wear them again, some day. Thanks for the giveaway.

I need a shaper that can slim me down and offers great tummy control to flaunt my waistline. Especially when I wear body hugging dresses, I need a firm and figure-molding bustier to look gorgeous and confident!

  6. Hi Ren!

I love reading your blog for the latest fashion n travel information!
I will love to wear a good quality shaper like Vedette because
1 ) its more durable and will not get out of shape so easily.
2 ) comfort is very important too! I wouldn’t want to feel choked or suffocated since I will be wearing it for the whole day!
3 ) A good shaper should trim my waistline and emphasise on my bust to give me a silhouette figure !
4 ) it makes me feel more sexy, womanly and confident!

Thanks for sharing this and I hope to win this one! My desired brand for quality shaper!

  9. Liked Vedette on facebook. I look for shape wear that is long enough (I don’t want it to stop short and cause a bulge) and that is comfortable (not poke-y)

  10. Comfort is the first thing that I look in a shapewear. If you are comfortable then only you can flaunt your style in front of others.
