Here’s part two of my style collaboration with Vedette Shapewear and a giveaway! If you’ve already commented on my previous giveaway post, get another chance to win a surprise shapewear by answering my second question below.
Meanwhile, I’m styling the Silvana bodysuit from their Romantica collection. I love how pretty the shade of red is- blood red gives such a sense of enigma and danger, very femme fatale.
The plunging neckline of this bodysuit was quite startling initially, since I’ve never had much to show, but it created a flattering bust; it’s just much more subtle on me. I also love that this bodysuit has front closures! It was so easy to slip into compared to my back-fastening corset. However, I was initially leery of the fastening at the bottom, as I feared my lady parts chafing against the metal clasps. Turned out that I had nothing to fear as it was so comfortable that I didn’t feel a thing. I also didn’t realise until the styling that bodysuits are great in pairing my body-hugging pencil skirt with. I love my skirt, but it’s a problem when I tuck in my tops and the fabric bunches at my hips, creating weird lumps. Bodysuits don’t have that problem. Figure-contouring bodysuits less so. Need I say more on how I adore this gorgeous piece? ♥
I also couldn’t help but pick out my pair of wine-coloured Jeffrey Campbell cutout boots for this outfit. After all, it’s very noir to mix blood and wine, and I like my symbolisms. The boots are one of my favourite Shopbop acquisitions, although it still takes some breaking in. But it’s one of those instances where shiny trumps practicality.
Now that I’m done showing off my new look, here’s my second question for an extra chance at the giveaway! All you have to do is to:
✖ Like the Vedette Shapewear facebook page.
✖ Leave a comment below on my question: If you were to style a shapewear for a halloween costume, what would you be?
I loved seeing so many awesome answers in my previous post, and am excited to hear your creativity this time! As for me, I’ve gone to Halloween dressed as a fairy in a lace corset. It was my first halloween and I had so much fun~ it makes me miss LA.
Anyway, don’t forget the following if you want extra chances at the giveaway random drawing:
I’ll be choosing one favourite answer from my first giveaway post, one from this post, and the remaining four will be picked at random. Good luck!
Giveaway is open worldwide and ends 31st October 2014.
