Too Much Candy

This post is dedicated to the awesome people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing (even if just a little bit), and some of the stuff I’ve acquired in L.A. since January this year.

I LUB YOU GAIZ YOU KNOW THAT? ♥

First off, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Awesome Chocolate– The Real Deal, courtesy of Evy (THANK YOU YOU ARE AWESOME! ♥):

So excited I’m actually tearing through the box. I’d been waiting weeks for it. XDD

Cute Iwaken stationary! AND BOX OF CHOCOLATES IN THE BACKGROUND.

A:DKAFLadkLFnLAKDCMNALF:ALDFA(TwT)

Seriously, aside from being made of chocolate, obviously, this box was also made of win and discipline– one every morning before I leave the house, and another one when I come back. Because it won’t do to finish it all at once right?

WANT SO BAD TO SHARE IT WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS BACK HOME AHHHHHH!!!!

I wore this lovely bracelet in this post! The meaning of the words on my magnetic notepad still eludes me. But, and here I am showing off the new vocab I’ve picked up while in the company of Boss (Troll Extraordinaire) and Jesca (Tumblr Queen), Me Gusta. :P

Last Christmas (why yes I’m that backlogged), Evy sent this lovely Christmas card:

With a gift-wrapped panda strap! Had to translate the words on the card, but it’s so cute, saying (Have a) Nice Christmas and a Swinging New Year.

Composing Carebear!Panda on the butterfly embroidery on the pillow found on the bed (I never knew I had this bed sheet…)

SO CUTE!!! Panda stands in front of one of the unsent Gmail drafts I use for notes to myself (does anyone else do this?). I think I was in the middle of a Gintama catch-up marathon, and these are my favourite cracktastic episodes.

Next, the awesome Mary from Inside My Hideaway sent this fabulous package my way quite recently!

Hehe at the cute little piggy sticker running towards me. XDD

A poster of one of my fav photographers Alfred Steiglitz, and a sneak peek at the sheet of quirky stickers and cards. ♥

This flip book was so fun!

Overview of the awesome stuff against Jesca’s sexy legs (She and Boss were helping me to prop open the long poster). XDD

THANK YOU SO MUCH MARY! I LOVE EVERYTHING IN IT MY PRECIOUSSSSSS. ♥

*****

AND, Shasha and Ruru are freaking awesome I don’t even:

Thanks Shasha for the choppers and omg cute drawing!!! And Ruru for making me read your letter like an idiot turning it round and round! THAT GOT ME GOOD. XDDD

Bangle, baby Chopper straps, USAVICH OIL BLOTTER. ♥♥♥ YOU TWO AHHHHH T^T

Now! Some of the humongous amount of stuff I bought while in the US– partly because shipping is much cheaper, and partly because I finally got me some Paypal. :P

My very first Etsy purchase was a lovely hairband from PinkFlowerCube:

Was a bit sad that the wing broke off in the mail, but nothing a bit of superglue can’t fix. :D

Unfortunately I got a bit carried away with squeezing out the superglue, and now my hair sparrow has a bit of shine on its wing. Oh well! Btw I love the throw rug in the balcony, and taking photos out there.

Next, a wonderful purchase from the fun and quirky store Paper Sparrow:

I even have a sweet card from her! Moustache cat and Narwhal pendant. JUST MY KIND OF THING.

Me posing with moustache cat. Photo courtesy of Nad. :D

*****

Last of the documented Etsy purchases, but definitely not the least of it all, a necklace from the enigmatically unsettling and super cool Tilly Bloom:

The package also came with a pin! I can’t believe that I didn’t take a picture of the necklace, but maybe it was because I was already wearing it. XDD

*****

Aaaand some randoms I picked up in stores around the area– No less important, but equally useless stuff:

Rabbit ring from H&M.

Stickers, Totoro tee, and a childhood drawing stencil from a shop in Little Tokyo.

Matryoshka doll necklace from Forever21 and cute calling card from a booth at the Aquarium of the Pacific.

Souvenirs and trinkets from Aahs! (I dare you to say the name out loud and not sound like you’re talking about a certain portion of the anatomy)– Awesome Caution Zombie tee is now a staple when I go to sleep, and of course, Old Spice shower gel from Ralphs (a super-mart) because I like to smell manly. XDDD

I HAVE WAITED FOR YOU MY WHOLE LIFE. Dan Rhodes is one of my favourite authors. His dark (and somewhat disturbing) stories struck a chord when I was a bibliophile in my teenage years, and I never was able to find this book (Don’t Tell Me The Truth About Love) and Timolean Vieta Come Home, which I’d borrowed then from the library, at the bookstores now. Viva free shipping at Amazon in the US of A!

And then I got introduced to Teefury after asking Boss where he got his awesome tees from.

That’s Boss trying to troll behind my awesome grab bag of five random-but-no-less-awesome tees. And the Jonas Brothers sneaking up behind him on TV. Was super stoked to have such luck on my very first Teefury purchase! In order from left to right: The Frog Brothers, Eleven Doctors, Accio Brains, Milton Maze, Duck n Cover. Too bad I only know two out of the four fandom-related tees in my possession– and out of the two, I’ve never even watched Doctor Who. ^^;

*****

Segway (another word that seems to be used in the US a lot) into Outfit Tiemz!

One of my favourite places at UCLA is the prop warehouse at the School of Theatre, Film and Television.

✿ Milton Maze tee: Teefury.com
✿ Skirt: Forever21
✿ Floral leggings: H&M
✿ Belt: H&M
✿ Boots: Top Shoes

This was pasted at the apartment one day. :(

xoxo, people. :)

Hehehe thank you!! Yes those chocs are so yummy I don’t even. TT^TT
I got into an etsy-shopping craze some time back mainly because I got into heartsy, which is a site that promotes some shops and has discounted vouchers for them on a rotational daily basis. It’s a gem!

  • Everlind

YOU ARE MORE THAN WELCOME <3 <3 <3

Whoa- those chocolates were REALLY battered O_______O I will definitely demand the fastest method of shipping for the next batch.

AUGH so many awesome stuff! I love your zombie jackpot! And and and the bracelet from etsy (hope the birdie is hanging on still)! AND THE TOTORO shirt *____*

      ♥♥♥

AHAHAHA THEY WERE?!?!?! I thought they looked pretty okay, save for a couple of bitty pieces off the top row. XDD

Yup the bird’s still up on the headband, though I’m guessing it’s because I’ve only worn it once. Am not too fond of headbands and don’t know why I keep buying them. :P
