This post is dedicated to the awesome people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing (even if just a little bit), and some of the stuff I’ve acquired in L.A. since January this year.
I LUB YOU GAIZ YOU KNOW THAT? ♥
First off, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Awesome Chocolate– The Real Deal, courtesy of Evy (THANK YOU YOU ARE AWESOME! ♥):
Seriously, aside from being made of chocolate, obviously, this box was also made of win and discipline– one every morning before I leave the house, and another one when I come back. Because it won’t do to finish it all at once right?
WANT SO BAD TO SHARE IT WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS BACK HOME AHHHHHH!!!!
I wore this lovely bracelet in this post! The meaning of the words on my magnetic notepad still eludes me. But, and here I am showing off the new vocab I’ve picked up while in the company of Boss (Troll Extraordinaire) and Jesca (Tumblr Queen), Me Gusta. :P
Last Christmas (why yes I’m that backlogged), Evy sent this lovely Christmas card:
SO CUTE!!! Panda stands in front of one of the unsent Gmail drafts I use for notes to myself (does anyone else do this?). I think I was in the middle of a Gintama catch-up marathon, and these are my favourite cracktastic episodes.
Next, the awesome Mary from Inside My Hideaway sent this fabulous package my way quite recently!
A poster of one of my fav photographers Alfred Steiglitz, and a sneak peek at the sheet of quirky stickers and cards. ♥
THANK YOU SO MUCH MARY! I LOVE EVERYTHING IN IT MY PRECIOUSSSSSS. ♥
AND, Shasha and Ruru are freaking awesome I don’t even:
Now! Some of the humongous amount of stuff I bought while in the US– partly because shipping is much cheaper, and partly because I finally got me some Paypal. :P
My very first Etsy purchase was a lovely hairband from PinkFlowerCube:
Unfortunately I got a bit carried away with squeezing out the superglue, and now my hair sparrow has a bit of shine on its wing. Oh well! Btw I love the throw rug in the balcony, and taking photos out there.
Next, a wonderful purchase from the fun and quirky store Paper Sparrow:
Last of the documented Etsy purchases, but definitely not the least of it all, a necklace from the enigmatically unsettling and super cool Tilly Bloom:
Aaaand some randoms I picked up in stores around the area– No less important, but equally useless stuff:
Souvenirs and trinkets from Aahs! (I dare you to say the name out loud and not sound like you’re talking about a certain portion of the anatomy)– Awesome Caution Zombie tee is now a staple when I go to sleep, and of course, Old Spice shower gel from Ralphs (a super-mart) because I like to smell manly. XDDD
I HAVE WAITED FOR YOU MY WHOLE LIFE. Dan Rhodes is one of my favourite authors. His dark (and somewhat disturbing) stories struck a chord when I was a bibliophile in my teenage years, and I never was able to find this book (Don’t Tell Me The Truth About Love) and Timolean Vieta Come Home, which I’d borrowed then from the library, at the bookstores now. Viva free shipping at Amazon in the US of A!
That’s Boss trying to troll behind my awesome grab bag of five random-but-no-less-awesome tees. And the Jonas Brothers sneaking up behind him on TV. Was super stoked to have such luck on my very first Teefury purchase! In order from left to right: The Frog Brothers, Eleven Doctors, Accio Brains, Milton Maze, Duck n Cover. Too bad I only know two out of the four fandom-related tees in my possession– and out of the two, I’ve never even watched Doctor Who. ^^;
Segway (another word that seems to be used in the US a lot) into Outfit Tiemz!
xoxo, people. :)
