Tokyo: Koishikawa Korakuen
I can’t believe it’s been three months since I last left off writing about my Tokyo trip from earlier this year! I’ve been super busy editing a bunch of photos for a small project since August (and can’t wait to write about it come December), but now that I’m finally done with that, I can now concentrate on editing my travel photos; hopefully these posts will come in more regularly – perhaps I’ll even intersperse them with my Taiwan trip from July and Bali trip from November? Who knows! I’ll have to see where my mood takes me.
To recap, Ottie and I spent the first week of cherry blossom season in Tokyo back in March. On this day, we hit up Koishikawa Korakuen (å°çŸ³å·å¾Œæ¥½åœ’) to catch the first blooms in a gorgeous historic park. Here’s some of my favourite shots:
The wood-engraved signboard was note-worthy.
Seiko no Tsutsumi (西湖ã®å ¤).
Engetsu Kyou (円月橋). This particular bridge looks like a full moon when you include the view of its reflection in the water.
Hitotsu Matsu (一ã¤æ¾). Solitary Ottie standing in front of a solitary Pine tree.
Two trees had bloomed early:
We ended the trip traversing this pretty overhead bridge. It was nice.
I’ve really got to get back into the groove of this trip – so many pretty pictures were taken and I can’t wait to get to the bottom of them!
