The Green Green Grass
Singapore is known as a concrete jungle, but to me it is home to what seems to be an eternity of lush greenery. Taking my namesake from a tree of the tropics, I find home in the moments of chlorophyll and sweltering summer heat. I’ve recently put myself into situations in which I had to give a reason for coming back home, and each time I say sincerely that it’s because I missed it. It is good to touch the green green grass of home.
I had a bit of fun planning this green outfit, centering it around my crochet lace top from Chicwish. This gorgeous thing was a Chictopia redemption, so I was excited to have racked up the points to redeem it. I wouldn’t usually buy something so delicate otherwise, since my general policy on clothes is ‘if it can’t go into the washer, it can’t go into my wardrobe’. Well when this top came in the mail, I was surprised to find that it was a lot sturdier than I initially believed it to be- I actually felt comfortable enough to climb up the fifth story parapet without worrying about tearing holes into such pretty fabric.
TL;DR thank you Chictopia for giving me the opportunity to take a chance on something new! ♥
I wore my headband as a necklace.
And I used lipstick on my eyes (because hey if it’s safe enough to eat…)
NYC Ultra Moist Lipwear in Blossom.
