The Getty Villa
Romwe galaxy dress + Dr. Martens boots + DIY floral wreath
Marta and I went to the Getty Villa one day. It was my first visit to the museum by Malibu beach, and it did not disappoint; the place was beautiful:
A few of the many Greek and Roman artifacts on display at the museum:
Vessel with Leda and the Swan. Greek, made in Apulia, South Italy. About 330 BC.
Sarcophagus of a mummy of a young man named Herakleides. He died at age twenty, possibly due to something- or someone, fracturing the back of his skull. A mummified Ibis was found within his mummy wraps.
CT scan showing the bones within the wrappings.
Detail of the foot of the sarcophagus.
Detail of the head of the sarcophagus.
The outdoor decor of the Getty Villa:
Marta was helping to take this photo of me when someone interrupted us asking if I was a model. He also asked if my wearing a floral wreath was intentional, because it was clever of me to do so. And then he asked his wife to take a photo of me standing next to him after I gave him the okay for that request. It was quite a strange encounter.
My favourite photo of the day.
Outfit photos taken by Marta.

Thank you Jiru! They’re very versatile, and the original material is much more comfortable than my pink lamper ones.
