Same Old Brand New Wall
I mixed some nice clothing combinations last week, and so ‘outfit of the day’ photos had to be taken at the plain white wall right outside my door. This was done in the morning, with light streaming in from my right. Natural light is the best! Perhaps it’ll be motivation for me to wake up earlier in the mornings to take outfit photos before heading to work… once I get the house settled, that is: Wearing Pomelo blouse, Esprit denim jeans, RAWROW bag, Owndays glasses, Kurt Geiger shoes. Creature of Habit
I originally titled this post “That Nun Dress” before realising how wonderfully punny the current title is. I wanted to write a bit about the thoughtless grind of taking outfit photos for my blog simply for the sake of creating content. Interestingly, the dress featured in these three outfits is what Ottie calls my “nun outfit” – it’s long, black, and I should stop right there because I just found my mind in the gutter. Of Walls & Textures
I’ve a propensity for photographing interesting textures. I suppose that growing up in a house surrounded by decorative stucco walls must have rubbed off me in one way or another – a memory from so long ago suddenly surfaces in which I grew bored and started an obsessive attempt to peel the uneven surfaces off with my fingernails (to no avail). Later when I started noticing the interiors of other people’s houses, I realised that flat walls were the norm.
