    Cherry Blossoms at Gardens by the Bay

    I dragged Ottie along to see the cherry blossoms at the Gardens by the Bay on Monday. It was my first time seeing cherry blossoms, and I was so excited! Tickets for just the Flower Dome, one of the two cooled conservatories at the Gardens by the Bay is SGD $12 for a citizen and $16 for a foreigner (standard ticket). Not bad considering that we were under the impression that standard tickets could only be bought in a bundle of 2 conservatories at $28 according to the website and signs on the ticketing office.     New Year Crimson Red

    Happy Year of the Monkey! The first and second day of the Lunar New Year were public holidays, which was when we made the annual trips to relatives’ houses for visiting; it’s been a while.     Shimmer & Shine in Green

    I fell in love with this shimmery backless dress from CNDirect a while back, and was really looking forward to wearing it. The cloth didn’t disappoint, but the daring cut of the top caused a bit of nervousness when I put it on – with good cause in fact, as I didn’t fill it out as much as the style dictated. Oh well. Ottie saved the day by pinning the extra fabric with a vintage rose brooch I’m fortunate enough to inherit, which ties everything together better than I expected. Go brooches!
