Shanghai: Yu Garden & Tsui Wah Restaurant & Han Ji BBQ Lobster

We took a bus bound for Yu Yuan (豫园) one night. I had read about it in guidebooks, citing it as a tourist spot during the day and night. The place was beautiful at night- all those lights! I couldn’t have imagined olden-style architecture mixing well with modern lighting, but they did a great job here. It felt like we were walking in a comic book. Here are a couple of photos from my dSLR: And a couple from my phone: And a group photo from Ade: Photo by Ade. Shanghai: Cirque le Soir

I don’t even remember how we ended up deciding to go to Cirque le Soir our second night, but we did. As usual, I took a backseat in planning our itinerary- I’m usually happy to tag along in experiencing whatever Ade and Puey (the chronic planners in this group) put on the table for our trips, whether it be inhaling the expensive air of branded shops (which is really all I can afford), or visiting circus-themed nightclubs on a spur of the moment. Just as long as I get to see new sights and possibly take pictures for my ailing memory. Once we got back to our hotel after a day’s worth of exploring, we found ourselves rummaging through…
