At long last, my new hair! If you saw my 2014 Christmas post, I sported these curls underneath a santa hat for just a little bit. :)
The short story: I signed up to be a hair model on a lark at a website while browsing for something or another, and promptly forgot about it until I got a text message asking me if I would like to model for a complimentary session for Soft Korean Curls at Kimage. I didn’t know what it entailed, but sure, why not? So I headed down at the appointed date and time after answering a few questions that the recruiter asked of me- had I rebonded my hair recently? No. Was it still shoulder-length? Yes. And so on.
I was part of a two-person model session for the morning of, in which the head stylist worked on both our hairs in front of a class of trainees and professional stylists. It was pretty amusing to be able to tell the professional stylists apart from the trainees just by their dressing alone. Four hours of detailed explaining on what was being done to my head at every step (trim, soft rebond, and perm), and three hair washes later, I finally looked a picture. By the way, I got my headshot taken so many times by the class that it was pretty embarrassing, but I still couldn’t resist getting a couple for myself. :p
Had to get one with the stylist as well. She showed such pride in her skill, trimming my hair even though she didn’t need to, in order to better set the curls. Thank you for doing such a great job Yvonne!
Here’s my first outfit with my new curly head :D The curls are wilder, which I love, giving more volume to my otherwise flat hair. I’ve been getting compliments about how it made me look more vibrant. I’m a very happy camper. ♥
