Silver Folds
This was my outfit for the second day of the Lunar New Year, where more house-visitings were had. Ottie and I had time for a quick shoot beforehand as we were waiting on other family members, and I finally got to wear a planned outfit for the festival featuring my new favourite skirt. Things were pretty good… or so I thought, until I sat down and noticed tummy rolls waving hi back at me. Oh well, it’s probably high time I start to take exercising more seriously.
I’ve taken to swimming since the start of the year, which is pretty relaxing and I can’t believe I stopped doing that for so long. I just really hope that the rainclouds ease up soon – so far my plans to take a dip in the pool has been thwarted twice. In a week! It got so bad that just today I dreamt about watching a parade in an atrium and it rained so heavily that the place flooded and I finally got to swim. What the heck.
Also this Topshop front-twist crop top is so flattering that it’s actually the second piece I got in a different colour – I have another one in black. The grey is made of a less elastic material than the black, and I like that the folds are more prominent in it.
We saw this kitty prowling atop a car (which Ottie noticed was a BMW). It was so cute! It later jumped off and started itching itself on the tyres of another car. I hope it knows what its doing hanging around heavy machinery.
Staples at one of the houses we visit for the Lunar New Year: Konnyaku Jelly with Wolfberries moulded in the shape of gold ingots, and cups of Red Date Tea (Ang Zo Teh/红枣茶 in Hokkien).
