Sandy Playgrounds
I’m mixing prints in this outfit for work here. I’d never have thought that they’d go so well together until I half-stumbled into my wardrobe and came out in these that morning, but hey, forming surprising new looks with existing pieces is one of the best things about owning separates. As I’ve said once before, patterns usually go pretty well together as long as the colours complement each other, so I guess I got away with it in this outfit. I had to add in my navy superman socks for colour though, and that may have been pushing it, but I like it, so there.
Sandy playgrounds such as this is not a common sight anymore. Most playgrounds are replaced with synthetic surfaces, which is probably a good thing since you never know what your kid will dig up trying to make Horlicks in the sand. Cat poop? Pieces of glass shards? The germophobe in me welcomes the new colourful, bouncy synthetic mat flooring of the public playgrounds. Still, it’s nice to wander the sea of sand bumping into playable structures sometimes.
