I don’t remember much of my school years, but one vivid memory I have from university was when I attended a guest lecture by Hans Bacher, and he talked about the impact of colour theory in concept art. One image he showed was of a desert – a solid blue sky in stark contrast against a dark orange sandscape (is that a word?) It struck a chord in my happy place and may perhaps stay there for a good while.
This outfit took inspiration from that blue-orange colour combination, with a dash of red to the mix via my martian socks and Inglot matte lip tint in the darkest shade I could find (#20). I like how I’m able to vary the depth of the colour simply by adding layers to it – shades of red for the price of one? I’m all for it.
I also borrowed Ottie’s pretty satchel for the day just to try the shiny out. However, the strap was way too long and made carrying my laptop around awkwardly bumpy. It was such an uncomfortable experience, though I suspect that it’ll function much better once we punch some holes in the strap. Note to self: good idea to invest in a hole-puncher for leather products.
