Onyx Sweetheart
It was Ling’s wedding a while ago, and I had the pleasure of celebrating her matrimonial union. I was a little worried about going solo at first, since wedding dinners are usually organised in such a way that guests are seated at a table for ten; Ling however, had thoughtfully seated me with like-minded people, so I ended up having a good time.
I decided to break out a Modcloth purchase from 2012 that I had never worn (what can I say, I’m a hoarder). The interwoven panels on the sweetheart front detail sold it for me, even though I don’t quite have the figure to support it- and I mean that quite literally; the dress had to be pulled up every ten minutes or so. Mum even voiced her concern about how I was too scrawny to carry off the dress, but I liked it on me, and in the end my opinion is the one that counts. Moving on, the rest of my outfit was an exercise in shades of red; an auspicious colour for an auspicious event. :)

I love the sweetheart neckline detail as well, and coming from a fellow Asian who is *ahem a little lacking, I’ve found that sometimes DIY straps are necessary, or at least a safety pin in the back. You look lovely though, and I’m glad you had fun flying solo at the wedding!
