Novel Cafe + NHM + Blockheads
Novel Cafe
Ela, Lilli, Nam, and I embarked on the journey for food and dinosaur bones one Saturday morning. But first, we went to feed our stomachs at the Novel Cafe nearby.
I ordered the Sunrise Sandwich after salivating over what the guy at the table next to us had. Mine came with a side of potato wedges and it was so good! It was also extremely filling; I couldn’t wipe my plate clean in one sitting.
Lilli also had a Sunrise Sandwich, and I found myself envying her side of fruits once I got to the point of struggling with my potatoes. XD
Nam had waffles, which looked so good. She couldn’t finish her meal too, though she’s not a big eater to begin with.
Ela’s omelette, which was purportedly good too.
Natural History Museum
And then it was off to the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History for some ancient bones and architecture!
Ela’s entry stamp was positioned on her wrist and she said hers could fly when she flicked her wrist like so. XD
Tyrannosaurus Rex and Triceratops fossils on display in the lobby.
Diorama of African Mammals exhibit.
Diorama of North American Mammals exhibit.
Quartz Crystal Ball. The inverted image within the sphere is the door in front of me.
And then for the main attraction:
First dinosaur sketch. They look so different!
This was Ela at Marsh section of the museum. It’s my favourite photo of the batch.
Blockheads
To cap off our day, we headed down to Blockheads in ‘Little Osaka’ Sawtelle for some shaved snow! There’s always a long queue at the store, it’s crazy.
Mine was rainbow sprinkles on condensed milk on black sesame shaved snow. Om nom nom.
