My Holmes Trousers
I’d been searching for a pair of pants like this for two years now. Two years! I finally got my lucky break during a season sale at Zara early this year, and it was the perfect cut, pattern, colour, and more- the asymmetrical front fastening was a nice bonus, and the elastic bands make this structured pants so much more comfortable to don.
I decided to dress a little more professionally in here, pairing my favourite pair of trousers with another steal from an Urban Outfitters top. Studs and embellishments aren’t usually what I go for in clothes, because I always think of how troublesome they’d be to wash. Sequins especially, I tend to avoid. However, exceptions have been made in the past, and these dull gold studs looked sturdy enough to withstand the washer that I couldn’t resist. That, and the matching buttons lining the front. Well-matched buttons on clothes is one of my weaknesses. The other is pockets in skirts and dresses. And then there’s chocolate. I think I just went into a place there.
