Memoria Malaysia
I went on a day trip with the family to Malaysia recently, and found this neat alley among the old buildings. Couldn’t not jump all around it, I was that excited at the find. Mum commented on how the drain by the side of the houses were similar to those she played at when she was younger. It’s difficult to find such old visages in Singapore nowadays, what with the rapid development over the past few decades over the small area we call home.
Here I am still breaking out clothes that I haven’t seen in a while- the sweater from Club Marc that I got from a sales rack for men felt like so long ago, and so is what used to be my favourite pair of ankle socks- my first pair of quirky socks actually. I think I got it in 2006, and till now refuse to let go of it despite its lack of elasticity. If I cling onto the memory, I may still conjure up the feelings I had when I bought them. It’s a little bittersweet.
OUTFIT
Club Marc men’s sweater
Forever 21 skirt
La Marelle bow necklace
Takashimaya monster ankle socks
Merrell luxe leather clogs
T-shirt & Jeans bag
We found an A&W in one of the shopping malls! It’s not the best fast food chain, but it brings back memories of when Ti and I were but toddlers and would get excited at our breakfast of root beer floats, back when A&W had branches in Singapore. Mum had to get their waffles this time- to her, it still makes the best waffles she’s ever had.

I love rediscovering old clothes. It’s like having new clothes… but they aren’t new. The socks and shoes are just made for each other.
I am loving your art/photography/blog – don’t know whether you are interested in being interviewed for my blog (on which I interview interesting people) but perhaps I will drop you an email sometimes to ask you about it.
