Marina Del Rey: By The Beach
The beach by Marina Del Rey is a contrast to its neighbouring Venice Beach, even though both are separated by a fifteen minute walk. The portion belonging to Marina Del Rey is residential and much more peaceful as a result. We’d see home owners walk their dogs all the time. Did I mention how the houses by the beach front were incredibly beautiful? They were like show houses! Deb theorised that perhaps these were guest houses for people to rent, although we did see some that were obviously homes. All the envy! Not so much the practicality of having salt and sand everywhere though…
Presenting my very best kuku smile.
I got this romper-pants from a sample sale (everything for $4!) near where Deb, Jac and I stayed. I usually feel nervous wearing something that doesn’t secure at the shoulders, but since this trip with Deb was like a vacation of sorts, I decided to break it out and heck care whatever. It was the perfect material for the beach; I’m going to miss having excuses like this to wear it again. XD

Deb walking stylo, with extremely energetic poodles in the background. Notice the state of undress their owner has become in this subsequent photo. XD
I love ugly/cute dogs like you don’t even.

And then we went back to play with Annabel. And by ‘we’, I mean Deb rolls around the carpet with Annabel while I steer clear of flying fur and look for Mrs. Hudson, ninja cat.
