Lookbook x Rebecca Minkoff Denim Launch Party
The past few days have been spent toiling over the problem of my recently corrupted hard disk drive. But now that I’ve successfully retrieved most of my data (by sheer luck, I might add), I’m back to the less-pressing matter of catching up with my posts. Here goes!
I went to my second Lookbook party in Los Angeles a while back. It was a collaborative hosting by Lookbook.nu and Rebecca Minkoff‘s denim launch. As usual, there were so many stylish and incredibly friendly people there! I actually felt a little underdressed at the Confederacy Boutique.
Of course, I couldn’t resist taking advantage of the free open bar there. Hello Ms. Jane and Mr. Smith.
This bartender was super friendly! He served me drinks for the entirety of my stay, and even recognised me before I even reached the bar. I suspect that it was the gleam in my eye at free alcohol that caught his attention every time.
I met Camay there; it was so nice to meet a friendly face! I had previously met her at the first Lookbook-hosted party I went to, and subsequently at her Reflekt launch party.
She always inspires me with her outfits.
The changing rooms at the Confederacy are themed as telephone booths, which was very cool.
Met Jin, who had on a pair of Google Glasses. It’s such a statement piece. Although, seeing him don it had me worried at first, as I’m under strict orders regarding the Google Glass confidentiality agreement by the department at UCLA (and I’m not even directly part of the research project). Perhaps his app company is bound to a different set of rules?
It was a pleasure to make the acquaintance of Hen Evia (and his awesome shock of pink hair) via Camay. He had come up from Mexico that very day, which was a feat.
Camay and I, where my face was all splotchy from the happy drinks I’d been downing.
At this point I was thoroughly inebriated and decided to draw a portrait of Camay on the graffiti wall while she took pictures.

The official photographer took a picture of me in what was probably my default look- happily sipping from the drink in my hand. XD
