Lookbook: The Series Premiere Party
This is one of the cutest dresses I own. I had hesitations over getting this frilly piece at first, sequins being the main concern- I’ve mentioned before that they do not allow for the practicality of laundering said item on which it is attached to, but I make exceptions sometimes, especially when such sequins are sturdily fastened like scales. This dress certainly was one, with the oh-so-soft chiffon bottom and the jagged skirting. The only thing this dress is missing from being everything it could ever be is pockets. I really love the convenience that pockets offer.
(Also, I love how the outfit series above has me alternating darting glances all over the place.)
So I went like this to the Lookbook party at Boardners in Hollywood, for the premiere launch of Lookbook’s TV series. Look, I was being social!
I was fascinated by the visuals while the DJ was playing. It was so pretty. I complimented the guy who made it, though I can’t remember who it was now- the sudden introduction to lots of people kinda made me panic a little and function on adrenaline. I think I remember why I usually shy away from such information overload. OTL
[edit] Jeff came to the rescue and informed me that the creatives at work were Edi Hsu to Chongbomb’s mix!
Camay from Reflekt stood out to me from amongst the stylish people present. I loved her quirky style, from her hairdo all the way down to her toes.
The free nail art station sponsored by Wrap Artist Nails.
From left to right: a photo that Camay took of me, Rico (another solo attendee) and I at the red photo wall, a photo of Yuri (one of Lookbook’s founders) and I.
Yuri spotted my wandering self and took it upon herself to bring me around and make introductions with the rest of the team. I was all oh-gawd-peoples. Very grateful for her peeling me away from the metaphorical wall I usually contend with. <3
My first Chick-fil-A experience while waiting for the bus back. Midnight fast food is good.
