It was a pretty productive day for me, having had a few appointments in town. A notable one was my visit to the launch of theWYLDshop‘s first ever brick & mortar corner at Clifford Centre. theWYLDshop is Singapore’s portal to Australian high street fashion, featuring brands such as MINKPINK, Le Specs, and so on. It was an eye-opener to many Australian labels I never knew about; I loved the tasteful curation on the racks, knowing that each piece was handpicked to be featured in such a tiny space. I also enjoyed my time spent with some notable bloggers and interesting people, as we chatted about the shop’s motto, ‘Live Wyld Live Free’ and everything in between.
My outfit was totally inspired by my recent acquisitions from Shopbop, through a collaboration in which I style items from the online luxury shop. It just so happened that my recent obsession hails from Australian label Bec & Bridge, and I’ve been finding new ways to pair the gorgeous cropped top with. This time I went slightly more classic, with a tapered skirt and a pair of sensible boots. However, if said skirt was a little too shiny, and the boots a little too airy, well, no one said it had to be boring.
I tried on a couple of the beautiful skirts at the WYLD shop, and was super pleased with how they turned out. Alas, the price tag of these high street Australian labels… I’m going to have to work hard and save up ALL the monies!
