Jelly Baby Family
Having an outfit photo taken at the colourful Jelly Baby Family sculpture by Mauro Perucchetti was something that I’d wanted to do for a while. This sculpture is part of a collection of artworks commissioned or bought by CapitaLand, which owns quite a number of properties in Singapore. I had the luxury of attending a couple of art tours led by Mr Francis Wong a couple of years ago when I first joined my current job – boy did it open my eyes to the varied pieces that can be found island-wide.
I was also pretty excited to be wearing this pair of denim shorts from Shein out. It’s been a while since I’ve gone and gotten myself a fun pair of denims, and it fit perfectly into my travel plans for the summer. Expect to see more of it as the weather dials it up!
Interestingly enough, I’ve been scared off eating gummy bears ever since I used a huge bag of them in my final year animation project and wound up eating all the excess back in art school. They’re also tied to the memory of staying awake for my personal record of more than 50 hours trying to complete said animation… by the end of it I suffered auditory hallucinations and my skin seemed orange. I’m too old for that shit now, but it’s pretty cool to have tested my limits back then.
You know it’s time to get that haircut when your ends start fraying like the distressed hems of your shorts. I’m waiting for a few more weeks before chopping them off so that I can measure how much my hair has grown for an entire year!
