Getty Center & Dinner at Five Guys
Deb and I visited the Getty Center for the first time in February this year. Since then, I’ve been there three more times (the most recent being yesterday). We didn’t have time to check out the exhibits on this trip, as the architecture is amazing; instead we spent our entire day exploring the garden and joining the free Architecture Tour, learning about the history and meaning behind the stones that made up most of its unique look. Of course we also took a lot of pictures.
Deb was too scared to sit on the ledge! It was not a problem for me, since I’ve a history of doing pretty stupid things for the sake of a picture. XD
We headed down to Five Guys down at Westwood Village after our culture trip. It was Deb’s first time at this burger chain, so I had to get her stuffed with one of those mainstream things on the last dregs of her stay in the US. I never knew that they gave out of peanuts for free! True to our kiasu Singaporean nature, we naturally set to work taking full advantage of the situation. :P
Oh hey I found the peanut centipede.
This was the first time I wore this Forever21 romper. It mixes the playful nature of a romper with the sophistication of longer chiffon sleeves and a sturdier camel-coloured material for the bottom. I thought it was novel. I’m not much for rompers; the practicality of a clothing item ranks high on my list, and rompers do not making going to the restroom an enjoyable task. But I fell in love with the sturdy material of the bottom half of this item, and the contrast that it made with the sheer green chiffon was just too interesting!
