Weather in Singapore has been alternating between roasting hot and drenching rain recently, so what does one do when she wants to show off her new floral swimsuit without suffering the consequences of erratic tropical weather? Take a trip down to her aunt’s to use their beautiful outdoor pool, of course. This little nook features the right amount of shade from the scorching sun through its paneled roofing as well as lush foliage from trees that grow on the perimeter. It also offers a meditative view of the Koi pond right across the boardwalk. And have I mentioned the pool is a jacuzzi too? I’d live here forever if I could.
But I digress. It was love at first sight when I saw this swimsuit on the Chictopia Shop, so much so that I didn’t care that I exceeded the budget I got in collaboration with Chictopia; I had to have it. I’m a fan of floral prints that find a strong balance between bold colours and visual sanity, but the modest cut of the top was actually what sold this piece for me. I’m not exactly fleshy on top, so the sweetheart cut is pretty much perfect in creating curves where I naturally lack. The quality was really well-done too, in fact exceeding my expectations when I discovered that the bust area was substantially padded with a reinforced under-bust (something that the more well-endowed might appreciate). Also, the swimsuit bottom is a high-waisted vintage style that fit comfortably without being too tight. All in all, this was an amazing purchase I didn’t regret. ♥
Unboxing of my pretty swimsuit.
I was so inspired by the floral pattern of my swimsuit that I painted my nails to match it. :)
