I very briefly touched upon textures in my previous post, and these totally touchable velvet bomber jacket from Gamiss and slip dress from Zaful came in at just the right time to wear out for the first day of the Lunar New Year last weekend. I was originally planning on wearing older pieces from my wardrobe because I can’t be bothered to shop for festive wear when I already have pieces in my wardrobe just begging to be worn one more time. But hey, I’m not complaining when new clothes come my way at the right moment.
A pity then that I only managed to get photos taken at dusk. My experience trying to salvage colours in such photos have always been a headache, and this proved to be no exception. I spent the past week on and off discarding unsatisfactory edits, and it didn’t help that my initial concept for this shoot failed to materialise because the crucial prop I was banking on for it failed. If I were to believe that the first day of the Lunar New Year were to predict my luck for the rest of the year, I guess I’d better steel myself for a long road of disappointments and crushed dreams. 😂
These URBAN REVIVO red packets were my favourite to give out this Chinese New Year. I saved myself a copy of each design!
