Black, White, Rubi & Baby
So it might be noticed that a certain pair of black platform boots have snuck appearances into my recent outfit posts. I got these Rubi shoes online a while back from Zalora, which has fast become my go-to online local shopping destination. I’ve been enjoying their fast delivery, hassle-free exchanges and even refundable returns! It’s something that I had sorely missed about the US ever since coming back to Singapore, so it was great that we have our very own local company doing that here.
I never knew that Rubi made shoes other than flats and sandals until now; these platform boots currently hold the top spot for both elevation and comfort in my expanding high heeled shoe collection. Who knew that my wide feet could find such comfort in inclined footwear? It’s the second pair of heels that have proven me wrong in thinking that my feet were destined to be confined to the ground. In a twisted way, I even like how the silver zippers in front act as mere decoration while the hidden side zippers actually do all the functional work. It’s almost like a front organisation of zippers. *cue evil laughter*
Peppering another black & white ensemble with gold and yellow this time. I was musing about my penchant for the monochrome to Ottie recently, and he hypothesized that it could be because I’ve been waking up cold (in an air-conditioned room), so I’ve been dressing in winter colours. Kinda makes sense actually.
Yea I got myself a bag from Nine West after winning best dressed a while back. Look out for it in my future posts!
We headed down to meet Eve’s newborn child, Raphael! He even sports dimples when he smiles. What a cutie. I’m so not ready to be a mum yet, but babies in general just induce all my ‘awww’… when they’re not screaming their lungs out, that is. He was really well-behaved when we visited though!
Just look at that charming smile.
Sweaty palms activated. I was so afraid of dropping this week-old child!
