I’ve started taking outfit photos around my neighbourhood! I’d been spoilt by the abundance of murals in my previous place, so it’s been a bit disappointing to find that virtually none exists in my immediate area. I guess it’s a good opportunity to exercise my eye in search of interesting ways to feature everyday structures? We’ll see.
My second outfit in collaboration with Zaful’s 4th Anniversary (going on until 25 June 2018!) features an off shoulder crop top – my first outfit featuring the old trend! Honestly with my frame I’d always thought that anything off shoulder would simply slip down my chest, but I took a chance on this and found it surprisingly comfortable. I now have not one, but two off shoulder pieces, so they might show up more often here as I find interesting ways to style them with.
In front of some sort of a futuristic structure bearing my new neighbourhood’s name. I find it amusing that it presents such a strong contrast against the clothes drying on bamboo poles in the background!
Currently reading: LONTAR (The Journal of Southeast Asian Speculative Fiction) Issue #10, which is a double issue that I borrowed from the library. It’s such a shame that I only knew of this journal right before it ended! LONTAR’s eccentric photo-manipulated covers first caught my eye when I browsed the local literature in a book store a few months ago; I actually had to look up what Speculative Fiction was thanks to them. Last month, I found out that issue #10 was the final issue in this long-running venture. It’s a shame that local literature doesn’t get enough recognition here.
Other places that caught my eye was this public recreation area:
