OUTFITS

Art of the Shadow Doppelganger

Continuing in what seems to be a tradition of wearing things I own for the first time years after they were purchased, I present to you one of the few blatant fandom merchandises I own- a Naruto x Uniqlo t-shirt collaboration. Kage Bunshin no Jutsu is one of my favourite tricks that the ninjas use, so I was all the more amused by the panel of silhouettes and english translation on this tee. I also got to break out my ANBU mask for this outfit shoot! I thought it was quite fitting considering that my outfit was predominantly black… however did you know that black isn’t the best colour to wear when skulking around at night? Not that it matters much to fictional ninjas who possess fictional powers.

If you thought my geek cred is way up there, I’ll have to confess that I’ve actually not caught up with Naruto (both anime and manga) in years, so I don’t know what’s going on anymore. But it evokes memories of a long-lost friend and I bonding over the series and singing its opening theme songs as we stayed up late marathoning episodes at our dorm room. I’ve missed that.
